On September 2nd, the DEPMAT consortium met at Outokumpu Nirosta in Krefeld, Germany, for a day of interactions and updating each other on the status of the research projects. With all industries and academic institutions well represented, the event offered a great opportunity to align views and planning the future direction for the DEPMAT program.
Similar to the kick-off event, the morning program focused on presentations from both industry (on their Impact Pathways and routes to successful implementation of the results), and the Work Package leaders (on the progress of the researchers).
In the afternoon, the program focused on the interactions between the different researchers, and how they align to reaching their common goals. Another topic for discussion was how to proceed with the various demonstrators that will be developed in the coming years. These demonstrators will showcase the strength of the data-enhanced modeling that is being researched in the program.
